A new calling for Dave
Last Sunday we got a new Bishopric. That is always an exciting thing to happen. I had taken Brady out because he was being really loud and I was listening from the lobby. I heard the speaker say that a new Executive Secretary (Bishop's secretary) had been called and then he said Dave's name. Imagine my shock/surprise/unbelief/confusion. When I finally got back in to sit down next to Dave he just smiled and shrugged his shoulders. I got a little upset needless to say. He later told me that when he had gone in for his temple recommend interview earlier that week he received the call. They told him to keep it a secret and that is just what he did. Dave has apologized and I realized he was just following orders. I have now accepted his new calling with all my heart and I know it is an inspired calling, but it was hard to hear of it while in the lobby.
Playing catch up
My apologizes for not updating sooner; here is what we've been doing.
Carson is playing soccer with his cousin Hunter. He loves running around and chasing the pack. This last game he got in to a pushing match with a kid from the other team. During his first game all the kids were lined up ready to kick off when Carson yells out..."I'm going to kick your......ball out!" I was really scared for a moment; not that he has ever heard that at our home but still it scared me.

Happy Birthday Dave
Today is my sweetheart's birthday. Any guesses on how old he is?? Would you be shocked to learn that he is turning 38 years old today? Yes he robbed the cradle when he married me.
I just want to tell everyone that I have the best husband in the entire world. You may think that you do, but I am sorry you do not, I have him. Dave Wright is a wonderful man and husband and father. I am so thankful that we found each other. I love you Dave!
10 Things I love about Dave or "Superdave" as he is known by most people.
1. He's handsome
2. So kind and generous to everyone
3. Very honest and has lots of integrity
4. Hard worker (lets me stay home)
5. Always a missionary
6. Worthy Priesthood holder
7. Family is always a priority
8. Still acts like a kid or teenager to be more exact
9. Can keep a secret
10. I never know what to expect next
My life is so full and I couldn't be happier.

Carson's First Day of School
Carson began his second year of preschool today. He is attending Mrs. Bingham's Preschool. This is the same preschool that me and most of my brothers and sisters attended and the same one Adam attended. Mrs. Bingham has kind of retired and has passed the torch to her grand daughter Mindy. Since Mrs. Bingham has the room and all the stuff Mindy teaches there with Mrs. Bingham's help. Mindy is not only my neighbor but was also my very best childhood friend, so I feel very comfortable about Carson going to school there. I have been asked to be the music specialist, so I stay the first 15 minutes to teach them the song of the week.
Carson was perfectly fine with me leaving today. No tears, no fuss. What is it like to have a shy child, I do not know. There are 10 kids in his class and he knows almost all of them from church or last year's preschool. He is getting so big and so independent. Here are some pictures from his first
day at school.

I know that most of you will have similar posts in the coming weeks. Here is a summary of Adam Wright's first day of 2nd grade...
We went to school the night before to meet his teacher, check out the classroom and for Mom to fill out the necessary forms and such. Her name is Ms. Dawn Shaw and she just completed her Masters in Education. Her entire room is wall to wall books, I guess she is big on reading or something!
The next morning Mom got the boys out of bed a little too early for their liking. After bathing, eating, brushing teeth and hair and feeding the dog we were ready to have family prayer and be off. My Mom volunteered to watch Brady and Carson so I could take Adam by myself. The place was complete chaos, parents everywhere! I walked Adam to his classroom and gave him a big hug and immediately started to cry. He assured me that everything would be fine and I could go, what a kid! I have to admit that I did sit in the car for a few minutes and watched him walk around the playground. That afternoon Carson and I took Brady in the stroller and walked to the bus stop to greet Adam. He came running off the bus and fell into my arms. He was hot and thirsty and perfectly fine. He is such a big kid and I will miss all his help around the house. Love you Adam David!

Our busy week...
This past weekend we took a little trip to Tucson to so some last minute school shopping. We stayed at the same resort that my sister Amy stayed at a few months ago. It is sooo nice! My boys favorite feature was the TV in the bathroom. They loved taking a bath in the giant bathtub while watching the Disney channel. We swam at the pool both nights, the weather was perfect! They have all these nature trails and on leads up to a waterfall, the water then runs down a stream and into several koi ponds on the property. The kids got to feed the koi and catfish in the ponds. This is some place we will defiantly go back to.
We did get all the school shopping done. New clothes, shoes, backpacks, lunch boxes and crayons! We should be set to start on Wednesday. Adam's teacher is Mrs. Shaw and Carson will attend Mrs. Bingham's preschool.

Before we left for Tucson on Thursday, Dave came home with a "little" gift for me... The price of SUVs have dropped dramatically in the past few months and he just couldn't pass it up. It has a sun roof and a DVD player with headphones and leather seats. It was a VERY nice trip to Tucson, the kids watched the movie with the headphones while Dave and I listened to the radio at the same time. I just can't believe that I am driving a Suburban!! That's what Moms with huge families drive. I guess I'll adjust to it soon enough.
Saturday night we helped my nephew Rusten celebrate his 2nd birthday. We had a mud party for him. The kids loved getting really really REALLY muddy! Papa and Uncle Tanner and Uncle Scott worked really hard to finish the train so the kids could ride on it. It is so fun! Carson especially loves the train and is so proud that he helped Papa build it.
