Just the two of us...

This past weekend my sweetheart and I ran away from home. We left the kids with my sister and my Mom and went to Tucson for a few days. This was a MUCH needed break for both of us. We stayed at the Tucson El Conquistador Resort. Dave was like a little kid on the water slide, he must have went down it 25 times. He took me to
If you have a chance to go...do! It was great experience!
We shopped and swam and napped and ate (Cheesecake Factory)! I know it wasn't a tropical destination or far from home but it was still great!! I love Dave very much and I am so thankful for him. He is so good to me!
Thanks Amy and Mom for the help!

I survived...

That's right, I survived Cub Scout Day Camp. I'm sore and sun burned and very happy that it is over. A few months ago, April Fools Day to be exact, I was told that the previous day camp director was not wanting to do it again this year. I was asked if me and my presidency would take it over. I thought it was a big joke...not so. Thankfully I have an AMAZING presidency, three very capable and talented ladies. We put our heads down and went to work. I can't tell you how many hours it took to make this happen. But we did it and it turned out so great. We only lost one boy and gave out two bandaids in the three days. Not too bad, for 230 cub scouts. As much as it kills me to say this right now, I know we'll be doing it again next year. Too much work goes into it to only do it for one year. I'm just shocked that I really did enjoy every minute of it, Cub Scouts really isn't that bad and it's not that hard.
