Brady's Birthday

Brady recently celebrated his 3rd birthday, unfortunitley his party had to be canceled due to Adam's "condition" (see following post) but we had a great little family party nontheless. I made some cupcakes and we threw him a little party before Dad had to go to work. Cheesy...yes, but he didn't seem to notice, he loved all of the attention. I love this little boy so much!! He has truly completed our family. Love you BaBear!!
I thought I'd post pictures from his past birthdays as well...

SPOTS!!

The day after Adam's performance he woke up with a fever and a weird looking rash. I suspected he had strep again so I took him to the clinic, all the while planning on letting him go back to school to sing with his boys group after our dr visit. The PA took his history and then asked him to pull up his shirt. She starred in amazement and uttered the words I thought I'd never hear..."I think he has chicken pox!!". She asked the dr in the office to come look at him just to make sure. We left the clinic with the following instructions: Benedryl, Motrin and baths...don't scratch and stay home. Adam was devastated that he couldn't sing one last time with his friends but Mom did her best to cheer him up.

Day 1

Day 2

Day 3 (the worst day)

Day 4

Adam was a pretty good patient. He was out of school exactly one week. We think he got chicken pox from his dad who had a case of shingles a few weeks before. We thought we had gotten away without infecting anyone else but this weekend cousin Rusten woke up with spots too. Rats!!

Grandparent's Day Performance

It's been a tradition at the boys school to perform for parents and grandparents at the end of the year. This year was especially emotional because their AMAZING music teacher was retiring and this would be her last show. Mrs. Doshier will be greatly missed. First was Carson's turn. He isn't my singer but Mrs. Doshier can do amazing things with these kids. Carson had the biggest grin on his face the whole time as he sang "Happiness Is...".

The following day was Adam's turn. He was really busy, he not only sang with the other classes like Carson did but he also performed "My Girl" with a special hand picked boys group and his teacher had their class dance and sing to "Footloose". It was all so great!! Adam is a great performer and always loves every minute of it. I noticed he seemed a little down and wasn't giving it his all. After the show we took him to lunch where he said he didn't feel good. Little did I know that he was about to break out with chicken pox. Poor guy.

Easter 2011

Easter really snuck up on us this year. We didn't even color eggs until 7pm on Saturday night but the kids still had a great time. On Sunday we went to Stake Conference and heard some great talks that helped me to remember why we celebrate Easter. It was a wonderful weekend!

Thanks Nana for the Easter outfits!
Most of the Larson cousins (missing Kris' kids).
